How we make money

Short answer: mostly affiliate commission, later. Right now, honestly, not much — here's the actual plan, not a vague gesture at one.

Affiliate commission

When you click through to a provider and sign up, we may earn a commission — at no extra cost to you, and it never costs you more than going direct. Where a link is affiliate, it's marked as such (see the affiliate disclosure page for the full policy).

As of today, no affiliate program is actually live yet — applications are the next step now that there's real traffic and real comparison pages to point at, rather than an empty site. This page will be updated the moment that changes, not quietly edited after the fact.

Featured placement — the one thing that could look like a conflict, so it's explicit

A provider can pay to be labeled Featured on a listing. That label is the only thing money can buy. It:

  • Never changes sort order — rankings stay computed, not paid for.
  • Never removes a competitor's listing.
  • Is always visually distinct from the ranking, never disguised as a "best value" result.

If a provider wants in — featured or just listed — that goes through the same contact form everything else does, tagged "Partnership or listing request."

What we don't do

  • Sell ranking position. Ever.
  • Hide or downrank a cheaper competitor because they don't have an affiliate program.
  • Run display ads that would need the page cluttered to sell impressions.

If any of this ever changes, the change will be described here — not silently rolled out.
